Investment in fintech across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) fell sharply to 27.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, nearly halving from 2022 levels. While the downward trend continued in 2024, the pace of decline slowed considerably. The impact varied by investment type: private equity saw a steep decrease, while merger and acquisition deal values rose for the first time since 2021.
