Compared to 2022, the cost of living in the Florence municipality has increased in 2023 between two and four percent for most sectors. In particular, food, hospitality and food service recorded the highest increment. Only for leisure and cultural activities, prices remained stable. On the other hand, communications and, most notably, electricity and fuel costs substantially recorded deflation by 2.4 and 17 percent.
