The number of people employed in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) was expected to reach roughly 136 million in 2024 and to decrease gradually for men and women in the following two years. Over the observed period, the number of employed people in the region was the highest in 2019, at over 139 million. Men had a higher employment-to-population ratio in CEE than women.
