Of the precious metals, silver had by far the largest reserves worldwide as of 2024, amounting to 640,000 metric tons at that time. The total global reserves of the platinum group metals amounted to roughly one-tenth that amount at that time, which includes platinum, palladium, iridium, osmium, rhodium, and ruthenium combined.
