The fourth round of the annual spring wage negotiations (Shunto) in 2025 led by labor unions affiliated to the Japanese Trade Union Confederation (Rengo) resulted in an average pay raise of 5.37 percent.

Shunto is a Japanese term that can be translated as spring wage offensive. It refers to wage talks held simultaneously every spring by company unions throughout Japan.
