Get in touch with us nowDuring a 2025 survey conducted in the United Kingdom, it was found that 43 percent of British people have never owned a wearable device. On the contrary, 37 percent of respondents owned and used such devices at the time of the survey.
As in the rest of the world, wearables are a substantial segment of the consumer electronics market in the United Kingdom. The term wearable refers to several devices, including smartwatches, fitness trackers, earbuds, and extended reality (XR) devices. Among them, smartwatches, which combine smartphone and fitness tracker capabilities, are the most profitable in the country, with expected revenues of around 750 million British pounds in 2024.
Over the years, many companies have entered the wearable market in the United Kingdom, manufacturing their own devices. As for smartwatches and fitness trackers, Apple was the most popular brand among British users, with over 45 percent of them owning an Apple smartwatch at the end of 2023, followed by Fitbit and Samsung. Similarly, headphone owners in the country preferred Apple AirPods to other brands like Samsung and Sony, which were used by lower shares of UK consumers.
