The value of currency in circulation in Egypt stood at over 1.08 trillion Egyptian pounds (22.6 billion U.S. dollars) in 2023. Over the observed period, the value of currency circulating in the Egyptian market increased yearly, with the largest jump happening in 2023.
As of the same year, the 200 Egyptian pound bill held the largest share, with around 64.6 percent of all the currency in circulation.
