The annual spring wage negotiations (shunto) in 2024 led by labor unions affiliated to the Japanese Trade Union Confederation (Rengo) resulted in a weighted average pay raise of 5.58 percent per union member in the manufacturing industry.

Shunto is a Japanese term that can be translated as spring wage offensive. It refers to wage talks held simultaneously every spring by company unions throughout Japan.
