In 2023, Kenya's startups managed to raise 800 million U.S. dollars, the highest amount raised among the countries observed. Egypt and South Africa followed with 640 million U.S. dollars and 600 million U.S. dollars, respectively. Nigeria, however, raised the most amount in 2021, with 1.7 billion U.S. dollars, the highest funding within the periods observed.
