In Turkey, WhatsApp was the most used application among social media and messaging apps for both genders in 2023. Nearly 89 percent of Turkish men used the platform in the last three months, in comparison to 81 percent of Turkish women. Overall, the social media apps were used by higher percentages of men than women in the country.
