During the second half of 2024, practically 88 percent of first cardiology consultations in Portuguese public hospitals occurred after the guaranteed maximum response time. Almost 62 percent of first oncology consultations also took place after the guaranteed response period, while 53 percent of first specialty consultations (excluding first oncology and cardiology consultations) were similarly overdue.
