The installed capacity of electrolyzers increased from 0.17 gigawatts in 2015 to around 0.7 gigawatts in 2022. This is far lower than the 465 gigawatts in forecast electrolyzer capacity by 2030 and also behind the 2030 target of 850 gigawatts set by the net-zero emissions scenario.
