Top reasons for cross-border e-commerce in Germany 2023

Lower prices were the leading reason German shoppers purchased online from other countries in 2023. In a survey conducted in selected European markets that year, approximately 43 percent of surveyed German respondents reported lower prices were their main motivation to engage in cross-border e-commerce. Similarly, 45 percent of their Austrian neighbors were motivated by the appeal of lower prices.
