In 2023, nominal wages in Switzerland were around 1.7 percent higher than in 2023. However, real wages fell by 0.4 percent compared to the previous year. This was due to the devaluation of the wages as a consequence of rising inflation. Real wages take price trends into account, while nominal wages reflect the absolute value.
