In 2023, China reported almost 3.2 billion yuan box office revenue from large music festivals, which was 8.5 times the amount of 2019. The contribution of blockbuster music festivals climbed from nine percent to 20 percent, while Chinese consumers were more likely to pay more for exciting music events.
