Aquaculture production in Germany 1997-2024

tonnes of fishery products were produced in aquaculture in Germany. This was a significant decrease compared to the previous year. Generally, however, production has been declining over the past twenty years. Aquaculture is the practice of breeding, raising, and harvesting fish, shellfish, and other aquatic organisms in controlled environments such as ponds, tanks, or ocean enclosures. It is also known as fish farming and is used for food production, conservation, and restoring aquatic habitats.
