A study carried out in Italy between July 2022 and June 2024 showed that online prices of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) were higher than in-store ones, on average. In June 2024, the index reached a score of *****, meaning that the price difference was about *** percent.
The index is calculated as ratio of web price/in-store price *100. Average weekly in-store prices based on the European Article Number (EAN) detected in the region.Â
