Between January and June 2024, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) reported 370,588 instances of child abuse on X (formerly Twitter), of which 35,176 were automated and 335,412 were manually submitted. Overall, 2.7 million accounts on X were suspended for reasons of child safety, and 14,571 pieces of content were removed.
