In the United States, nearly half of physicians said increasing compensation would help their burnout the most, according to a survey in 2023. Adding support staff and making work schedules more flexible were also among the top three workplace measures suggested by physicians. Overall, roughly half of the surveyed physicians reported feeling burnout.
