Average payment value over mobile payment apps in Israel 2024, by recipient type

In 2024, the highest average payment made by people in Israel via payment applications was for rent. The average app payment for housing rental was 2,731 Israeli shekels, about 776 U.S. dollars. It was followed by payments to lawyers, plumbers and technician service providers, which averaged at 497 Israeli shekels, some 141 U.S. dollars. Interestingly, excluding rent payments, which are significantly higher than other transactions, the five highest value payment categories were linked to business transactions or services, rather than person-to-person (P2P) payments.
