Storyline, reputation, and culture elements were the most important criteria for a movie or TV show among the media users in China. According to a survey conducted in March 2024, 48.7 percent of consumers in China valued storyline and plot most. Additionally, the online popularity or word-of-mouth of the title was also considered as a determining factor by consumers, accounting for 36.2 percent.
