Leading sustainability targets of institutional investors worldwide 2023

In 2023, nearly 30 percent of funds set targets related to both renewable energy investment and fossil fuel divestment. Specifically, funds that had targets for investment in renewable energy stood at 38 percent, while just three percent of funds had targets for divestment from fossil fuels. Conversely, the share of funds reporting no targets for either renewable energy investment or fossil fuel divestment stood at approximately 29 percent.
