In 2023, most of the green energy produced in the capital of South Korea came from bio sources or fuel cells. That year, the city of Seoul produced nearly 320,000 metric tons of oil equivalent (toe) of new and renewable energy. While not fully renewable, these alternative sources of energy produce less emissions than traditional fossil fuels.
