Brazil has the highest share of biofuels in total transportation fuel demand of any country worldwide. In 2023, ** percent of transportation fuel demand was for biofuels. This share is forecast to increase to ** percent by 2030. Indonesia could also see biofuel shares reach above ** percent by that year, the only other country with significant biofuel use. By comparison, biofuels play a relatively small role in satisfying China's transportation fuel demand.
