In 2023, among the 11,506 active home health agencies (HHAs), 2,766 HHAs had a "quality of patient care" (QoPC) star rating of four or higher. At the same time, 2,887 received a four star or higher "patient survey star rating". The number of high-quality HHAs according to this star rating dropped by more than 1,300 between 2021 and 2022, but increased slightly in 2023.
