In September 2024, more than two million users accessed the Chinese chatbot Xingye AI app. The intelligent bot is operated by MiniMax, a Shanghai-based artificial intelligence company. Powerful tech companies, including Alibaba and Tencent, were investors in MiniMax. Chinese tech-companies spread out their investments over many companies.
