In 2024, Saudi Arabia had roughly 80 thousand new hotel rooms under construction, which was the highest level in the Middle East region. The country also had the highest number of hotel projects under development, with 320. During the first half of the year alone, there were roughly 147 thousand new hotel rooms under development in the Middle East region, which was a one percent increase over the previous year.
