Between July 3 and August 25, 2024, the inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 23 events in 22 different video game titles made the Esports World Cup the world's biggest eSports event. About 103 million hours of ESW content were watched on streaming platforms, and League of Legends was the most popular game of the tournament, averaging about 490,000 viewers. PUBG: Mobile was ranked second with about 248,000 concurrent viewers.
