According to a 2024 survey, 45 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates said that they lost weight during the month of Ramadan. This was ten percent higher than the MENA average during the same period. The largest share of respondents in the MENA region said they saw no change in their weight during Ramadan, at 42 percent.
