According to a 2024 survey in the Middle East and North Africa region, 67 percent of respondents in Egypt said that they spent more money during the month of Ramadan. This was eight percent higher than the MENA average. In the same survey, 50 percent of respondents in the region said they look forward to shopping deals, special offers, and promotions during the month. Additionally, 40 percent of those surveyed delayed expensive purchases until Ramadan to avail better deals and discounts.
