In 2024, Kedarnath recorded the highest number of pilgrims during the Char Dham Yatra in India. This was followed by Badrinath, with around 1.4 million devotees visiting during the same period. Overall, nearly five million pilgrims took part in this event.
The Char Dham Yatra is a Hindu pilgrimage circuit in Uttarakhand, which includes four sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.
