Labor productivity measures the amount of output (GDP) produced for each unit of labor, which can be based on the number of workers or the total hours worked, over a specific period. This indicator shows the relationship between GDP and labor input. It offers insight into the efficiency and quality of the workforce, as well as the role of other resources and innovations in the production process within a particular economic and social context.
