As of January 2025, a survey revealed the public sentiment towards sport streaming on platforms like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, with the majority of respondents in the U.S., UK, and Germany shared to be positive about the impact streaming services have on sports. Americans, in particular, had a positive view on sporting events being aired on video streaming services, at 37 percent of people interviewed. In contrast, 19 percent of U.S. respondents had a negative perception.
