Douyin, TikTok's Chinese version, is China’s leading short video platform. The short video pioneer continues to drive user engagement. According to a 2024 survey conducted in China, over 46 percent of Douyin users spent more time on the app compared to a year ago. Only five percent of respondents indicated a drop in their Douyin usage, which was the lowest among other social media covered in the survey.
