According to a survey conducted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) among technology professionals in 2024, technology overspend was the leading factor for lower business confidence in new technology investments that year, as indicated by almost three quarters of the respondents. Comparatively, 60 percent of the surveyed professionals said that geopolitical volatility was a factor in reducing the business confidence for new technology investments.
