The United States boasted a positive trade balance from its passenger car trade with China from 2008 to 2024. In 2024, the American country exported some 4.8 billion U.S. dollars-worth of motor cars used for the transport of passengers to China, while importing some 2.6 billion U.S. dollars of these goods from the Asian country. However, Chinese car exports towards the United States have started to substantially grow since 2015.
