In 2024, the highest share of female regular employees in Japan could be observed among 20 to 24-year-olds. After reaching 74.7 percent in this age group, the percentage of women in regular employment declined with increasing age. The share of men in regular employment peaked in the age group of 45 to 49-year-olds.
