In a 2024 survey conducted in the United States, the main cybersecurity initiative for 2025 for 18 states' chief information security officers (CISOs) was aligning cybersecurity initiatives with those of their businesses. Enterprise identity and access management as well as risk assessments ranked at the top of the cybersecurity initiatives in 16 states.
