The U.S. Treasury is the greatest recipient of disbursements from revenues generated through mining and energy production on U.S. federal lands. In the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, the U.S. Treasury received over six billion U.S. dollars in disbursements from such activities. By comparison, around 1.18 billion U.S. dollars went towards Native American tribes and individuals.
