Distribution of Xiaohongshu daily usage duration in China 2024
The Chinese Instagram-like platform Xiaohongshu saw a significant increase in user engagement. In September 2024, 55.5 percent of its users in China spent over 30 minutes daily on the app, which was 4.8 percentage points up compared to a year ago. The popular Chinese social media platform received overwhelming attention from TikTok users from the United States amid the looming TikTok ban in January 2025.
