A reduction in federal tax credits in the United States, e.g. through a rollback of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), could result in the number of U.S. offshore wind jobs falling by 16,000 until 2030 and 38,000 until 2040. Only the gas-fired power generation sector is forecast to see employment growth, while clean energy technologies would see notable job losses.
