In the B2B automotive market, e-commerce represents an additional touchpoint in the purchase and sale of used cars, which often occurs offline. In France, online marketplaces were the favorite online channel for transactions in 2024. 86 percent of car dealerships taking part to a survey used online marketplaces to sell used cars, whereas another 43 percent of them bought from online marketplaces for resale. In turn, only 38 percent of dealerships stated their used cars came from online action platforms.
