A 2023 survey revealed that only just slightly more than half of UK doctors reported being satisfied with their day-to-day work as a doctor. GPs and doctors specialized in emergency medicine were significantly less likely to be satisfied with their job. Doctors in these two specialties were also at highest risk for burnout.
