In a January 2025 survey, four out of 10 respondents in the United Kingdom said they had been inspired by social media to try a specific restaurant or dish while on holiday abroad. This trend was especially strong among younger travelers, with over two-thirds of respondents aged 18 to 34 reported being inspired by social media to try a restaurant or food item when on vacation abroad.
