A 2025 survey of game developers found that while respondents had used generative intelligence (AI) tools for content creation within the game development progress, usage was mostly among smaller developers with fewer employees. For example, 37 percent of respondents working at studios with 50 employees or fewer had used generative AI tools for concept art and storyboarding, but only 8 percent of respondents from studios with 51 employees or more had done the same.
