In the 2025 Vasaloppet, a Swedish cross-country skiing race, Alvar Mythlback was the male winner and Stina Nilsson the female winner.
It was first in 1997 that the female division of Vasaloppet started. The modern competition began in 1922 and is held annually on the first Sunday of March. It is a 90 kilometer cross-country skiing race, inspired by the Swedish king Gustav Vasa's liberation journey while fleeing from the King of Denmark's soldiers in the 1500s.
