In 2024, the majority of employers across subregions in the Asia-Pacific region indicated they will focus on reskilling and upskilling their existing workforce to better utilize AI by 2030. About 91 percent of respondents from Southeast Asia stated they are likely to implement this strategy, compared to around 73 percent of respondents in South Asia.

Original question: “Which strategies is your organization likely to implement by 2030, in response AI’s increasing capability and prevalence?”. The three most-selected strategies, based on respondent share, were reported for each region.
Among 1,043 respondents who are Chief People, Chief Learning Officers, Chief Strategy Offices and Chief Executive Officers in multinational and national companies with at least 500 employees worldwide. These companies span 22 industry sectors and 55 economies worldwide, representing 14 million workers.
