Unsurprisingly, IT services in the technology industry are the heaviest users of AI worldwide in 2024. In general, the technology sector and the media and telecom sectors are the most prolific users of AI. Within functions, it is IT, marketing, and service operations that use the most AI. This is because these functions can all benefit from varied levels of AI, both greater and lesser, to improve a multitude of functions.
