According to a survey conducted among Australian adults regarding the social media ban for under-16s passed by the Federal Parliament in December 2024, over ** percent of respondents said no social media providers should be exempt. Among those surveyed who said at least one social media service should be exempt from the ban, YouTube was the leading platform respondents believed should still be accessible to users under 16.
