A February 2025 survey among adults in the United States who had read and used artificial intelligence (AI) summaries in their web searches found that ** percent of respondents were members of Generation Z. As respondents' ages increased, the proportion of those who read and utilized AI summaries for this purpose declined. Around ** percent of Millennials who answered said they would use this resource, but only ** percent of Baby Boomers stated the same.

Usage percentage was considered for users who affirmed the usage of AI search summaries "in all of my searches," "in most of my searches," or "in about half of my searches."
The source also states that the present data were weighted by age, race, gender, education, and region to "reflect the latest population estimates from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey."
